Prior to the update, battery life averages 2-3 days. After the update, it only lasts 1 day. I have email and sms notifications on plus the HR. Same settings before the update.
It is frustrating because this is the 2nd replacement watch. First was 28 days after my purchase at HSN, the display went completely gray. Second was 3 months after it was replaced, the screen started getting gray and flickered a lot then totally went black.
Now, this..

So, I did the factory reset. Set up my watch once again and updated the firmware to 32.32.12.19. is this the latest version? Prior to the reset, I had the x.24
Charged it to 100% at 20:20 December 5th. Let's see if the battery life improved. Thanks @Marrrmaduke will post an update after a.day or two.

@BJCruz It seems like majority of people upgrading now via factory reset are getting .19. If it works, stick with it... Let me know how many % per hour your battery is draining.

24hrs after the firmware update, battery dropped from 100% to 51%
Battery still dropping unusually fast after factory reset and firmware update from x.24 to x.19

@BJCruz Agreed. That basically puts you somewhere around 2% per hour more or less. Normal state should be 1%. Just to confirm you're not running any weird 3rd party apps or clockfaces that could drain your battery additionally? I doubt it as it was a clean install but just making sure. I think at this point really I would contact Customer Support. They will guide you through the next steps which probably will involve a factory reset and shutting off some features for monitoring, but at the end of the day the battery is draining.

That's what I thought. Thanks @Marrrmaduke for your help. It is just fruatrating, this is not the first time. Happened with the original Charge HR, SquareTrade could not repair it. Got the Versa a few years after that and then this. For a $200 watch I expected more. I already have 2 replacement Versa's since I originally purchased in June 2018. I really loved how it tracks my heart rate and exercises. But with battery problems like this, it wouldn't be a pleasant experience.

@BJCruz I hope 3rd time's a charm. All the best.

I'm sorry you are experiencing the same issues. The reviews on the Versa is awesome. And I really like it, but I hope they can fix the same issues we kept experiencing. Surely, we are not an isolated case @Melellis

@Melellis my advice would be for you to insist your next replacement comes in a sealed box.

@Melellis if you think they sold over 11 mm devices and only small % has this issue? Really ppl who seek help come here. Not other way around. Insist on brand new device in a box. Not refurbished.

I have the same sentiments. It is frustrating raising the issue with Fitbit each time. Too bad, I really loved the Charge and the Versa for its functionalities. But if they are not reliable as what I expect them to be, it is pointless to keep on trying to get a good unit.

Talked with Fitbit. They are collecting data. Not sure it’s going to fix that the update is the problem, though. They’ll be replacing Fitbits until they figure out how to fix the update.
