Battery life is bad and needs to be restarted daily?

I have to charge my versa very day now or it dies. Which is annoying as I like all my steps to count and want to use the sleep function as well. I also find that I have to restart it daily to get text messages? Does any one else have these problems? When I had the blaze I only charged it about once a week and when I say the versa had a longer battery life I was excited and bought it but I'm very disappointed. Has any one else had these issues? I also you to use it to find my phone by playing music off it which is much harder to do a less reliable. I think I made a mistake upgrading to a lower quality item 😞

I'm having the same issue too. When my Versa was new it used to stay charged for 2 and a half days before it got really low, but now only 4 months later and it can barley make it through 24 hours without needing to get charged.

Hi, restart your Versa 4-6 times in a row by pressing and holding the left and right lower buttons together untill you see the Fitbit logo and release the buttons. If that does not solve your battery problem, contact Customer Support and ask for a battery test.

Wow, restart it 4-6 times in a row? I'm curious, is there a reason that restarting it multiple times will fix it instead of just restarting it once? Honestly just curious how this works. (though I will give it a try and see if it helps.)

Hi, this is the so-called restart procedure, which is recommended to solve these kind of problems and one restart does not the trick. See also: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1186/?q=Restart+procedure&l=en_US&fs=Search&pn=1. Practice has learned that 4-6 times usually does the trick.

I'm having the same issue I'm having to charge my Versa everyday so half the time I'm not getting my steps counted the other half I'm not getting my sleep check it's really disappointing it used to be at least a charge for a couple of days I don't know why it's not that old

So it's still not holding a charge after restarting it 7 times in a row. I charged it completely (100%) around noon yesterday and by this morning (around 8am) the battery was already down to 17%

Guess it's time to contact support. ☹️

EDIT

As a heads up for anyone that is about to contact support about this issues, they are going to demand that you change your clock face to one of theirs if you have a 3rd party clock face and then tell you to do all of this :

- Disable the features that can impact battery life as described in https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/2004

- Change clockface from 3rd party to something created by FitBit
- Fully charge your tracker.
- Sync your tracker 5-6 times a day.
- Wear your tracker until it is fully depleted.
- When your battery is completely drained, meaning that your tracker is no longer responsive and you no longer see the low battery indicator, let us know the day you fully charged your tracker and the day it was fully depleted.

Well, guess I will have to wait another couple of days to find out what I already know, my Versa can't hold a charge.

UPDATE

Ok, since fitbit demanded that I change my clock face from a third party one to one made by them my battery life is back to normal. I charged it around 11:30AM yesterday and today at 9:30AM it's still at 89% battery. So I guess the issue was the clock face. HOWEVER, fitbit if you are reading, this is still a fitbit problem. I have had the same clock face since I got my Versa and it used to last for DAYS, it's only since Fitbit messed something up in the firmware did start happening. SO FITBIT, PLEASE FIX THIS PROBLEM! It's now officially a problem on their end and I as a user can't do anything to fix it.
