Battery life not lasting

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Yesterday my watch died very early in the day with no warning.

I charged it overnight, it was at 100% this morning and it has already died again.

My phone fitbit app was showing a notification of GPS connected earlier in . When I tried to turn off the GPS the app told me that it needed to be on for the watch/app to sync.

My app is the 20 Jan version 3.13.

This battery drainage issue hasn't happened before yesterday.

Hi @MollieMD, welcome to the Community Forums!

Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for troubleshooting your device prior to posting. Let me share with you that the battery of our Versa 2 device was designed to last 5 days but this also depends on how frequently you use it’s features. That said, I recommend you charging your Fitbit device with a USB port from a computer or a UL-certified outlet into the wall and then turn off all the features that you don’t use that much. After doing so, please this help article for more tips and recommendations.

Such article includes as restart process that will refresh the device's performance.

Keep me posted, I’ll be right here if you need anything else.

Dear Ricardo and Fitbit team

Thank you for your message/post. Unfortunately your advice is not of any assistance.

I received my Fitbit for Christmas. It worked perfectly for the first month and I got 5-6 days life out of each battery charge.

This week my battery, while charged in the same manner as previously via USB to my wall power-socket, is not even lasting a full day.

I have retained the standard clock face, and use normal tracker, text and email notifications, & the alarm clock feature only...all of which have remained unchanged since I started using it.

Following reading the help boards, I've turned off the gps setting via my mobile app, & deleted Deezer...although I don't use spotify, Alexa or any of the other ancillary pre-loaded apps.

None of the steps that I have taken have served to prevent the battery drainage issue that seems to be impacting my phone in this past week (and continuing) where I'm not even getting a day out of a 100% charge.

I would welcome any further suggestions you might have as it's getting to the stage where I am not going to wear this since it can't even function as a watch at the moment!

Thank you and kind regards
Mary
