Battery life not lasting

Disappointed that my FitBit Versa died within 1 1/2 years of use.  Doesn't hold a charge any longer.  This has never been submerged, not worn in the evening, etc.

Looking for another watch, but it won't be FitBit brand.  Warranty for the rechargeable battery needs to be longer.  Otherwise my watch is in excellent condition.  Disappointed.

Hi @LS84780, welcome to the Community Forums!

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Let me share with you that the battery of our Versa was designed to last 5 days, but this also depends on how frequently you use all the features of your device. That said, I recommend you charging your Fitbit device with a USB port from a computer or a UL-certified outlet into the wall and then turn off all the features that you don’t use that much.

After following the above information, please check this help article for more tips and recommendations. This article includes as restart process that will refresh the device's performance.

Keep me posted, I’ll be right here if you need anything else.

I just recently update both my App (Android 6/22) and my Versa (6/23) to 32.7.8.0 and I did not change any of the features I normally use. My Versa use to hold a charge for 4-5 days but now it needs to be recharged daily.

Charged to 100% at 9am this morning, it's now 11:46 pm and my Versa is at 50% so I'm guessing that by tomorrow evening I will be at 0% or close to it. And why do I no longer have the option to turn off All Day Sync? I do not need to sync all day.

Thank you Ricardo, but the battery no longer functions. It is DEAD!  It does not hold a charge.  From other posts and responses, it appears FitBit did a software update that has affected people's watches.  FitBit needs to correct this.  I will not purchase another item made by FitBit.

Not much better than when Microsoft did their update last Fall and messed up other company's software/hardware products.  Updates are to be tested to be sure they actually work!!

So, is this a software issue that FitBit introduced? Or are the batteries truly not lasting??

My battery life went from around 4 days to 6-12 hours as a result of the recent updates. Many others reported the same but Fitbit don’t seem interested in providing a fix for the issue that their software update caused

That is basically the same issue that I am having.  Used to last for days, now when "charged" it doesn't even last a day!  I think FitBit should be responsible for correcting their mistake.  If they think people will go out and just purchase an  updated device, they are extremely delusional.

Started having battery issues too within the last few weeks.  I bought a Fitbit over an Apple Watch specifically for the longer battery life.  Guess it’s time to pull the plug on the Apple Watch if I’m going to have the same battery life.
