Battery short life on Versa 2

I was having issues with my alarm not sounding. I updated my app and shut down my versa 2. I tried powering it on and get the logo briefly then it shuts down again. 
I tried connecting the versa 2 to my app after disconnecting it and it found the versa 2 on my app but then lost the device again after the logo appeared and then disappeared. 
I have tried charging it for 30 minutes. 
I have tried cleaning all connections.

I have tried using a different power source and even used a different charger. 
I bought my husband a Fitbit versa 2 and his is doing the exact same thing after the update in the app.

I appreciate the steps you've taken in regards the situation with your Versa 2 trying to turn it on, I just checked in the system and I can see you have already contacted support about this situation.

They sent you an email with further information, if you have any other question, my best recommendation would be to contact them.
