I currently own an Alta HR. It has stopped all day syncing with my iPhone. I’ve tried everything you can imagine. I would like to upgrade to a versa 2 but have read some bad reviews about it doing the same thing my Alta is currently doing. Anyone have issues like this?

Hi @Lenabobby, welcome to the community.
It's difficult for anyone to say really. If you are having sync issues with your Alta it could be a number of many things causing it, phone, RF interference or an issue with the Alta itself. Personally I've had very few sync issues with my Versa 2, in fact I would go as far as saying it has been the most stable fitbit I've used (and I've had/have many). I'm sure there will be some who say the opposite though. It really seems to come down to a lot of variables, and quite often the phone the user is using.

thank you for the reply. It’s not only my Alta but also my husbands charge 3 has stopped receiving text notifications.

Not sure about this but before you buy another Fitbit think about if GPS accuracy is something that’s important to you, because that is currently very problematic for a lot of people. I just dumped my Versa for an Apple Watch because of it.

I’ve been using an Apple Watch for the last few days. I’m having a hard time adjusting to it. That’s why I figured I’d try Fitbit again. I do use the gps when my husband and I go for a hike. Do you really like the Apple Watch better? One of my favorite things with Fitbit is that everything is one 1 app and it’s easy to join competitions. I can’t figure out how to do this on Apple Watch.

I would think twice about the Versa 2 - there are screen issues - lockups - tech support..... just search for screen lockups.

I've had several Fitbits over the years and am now 15 months into a Versa. The battery life is becoming inconsistent and has already shortened by a day. The battery is about to die. I have yet to get to 18 months with any of them. So my point to you is to consider quality of the hardware. With a Fitbit, I think you should expect to replace it about every 15 - 18 months and so factor that into what it costs to own one.
At this point I'd rather pay the extra for an Apple Watch with the expectation it will last longer and be more reliable, but I'm on Android so that's not an option.
BTW, before the Versa I tried a Garmin Vivosport and while the hardware was excellent, the software was horribly buggy and once the version I had was half a year old, they pretty much stopped maintaining it and the bugs remained. So there's probably no ideal solution out there.
Lastly, to address your question about syncing, in the beginning it was somewhat inconsistent, but in the last half year or so it syncs pretty reliably to my Pixel 3. But I'm not sure how that will translate to your experience on an iPhone.
