One of my 14 month old Versas has a dead pixelated screen, and hubby's isn't far behind 😞
We love the fitbit products, have had some issues, but always rectified. Today I was told the best they can offer is a 25% discount off a new one (s). As this is a known Versa issue, I believe our 8 year fitbit relationship must come to a close. We can't afford to replace them every year or so.
That said, any ideas for a similar product? Love the shape of the versa and the features 🙂

Garmin Vivoactive 3.
Has everything FitBit has, but with arguably a better HR sensor/algorithm and on-board GPS. And you get the Pay feature thrown in for $200.
Not sure about the sleep tracking detail, but it should be close. I love the FitBit app design, but have persistent HR tracking issues when running/hiking, so I've been thinking....
The problem is, all your important historical data, like HR, is locked up by FitBit and cannot be moved to a different platform. Which is another thing that prevents me from recommending FitBit (it's MY data, I should be able to do whatever I want with it).

I didn't even consider my 8 years of data

I have a Versa and so far after a year it is working better this year than last; so far. However, I checked out Garmin and Samsung for a good watch it will cost close to $500.00 but they do have a lot to choose from. My son has a Samsung and it has more bells and whistles than my Versa. He can answer his cell using his watch and talk. They do have a similar website like Fitbit to track your stats. Some watches are specifically designed for swimming and can produce more swim stats. Of course it depends how serious you are about your stats.
So far I am happy with my fitbit.

The Vivosmart 3 without Music can be purchased for about $200 (Music is about $50 more). But the Vivoactive 3 has built-in GPS and Garmin Pay (like the Versa Special Edition), plus it features HRV.
The Versa has SpO2 sensor, but FitBit doesn't seem to do anything with it, or at least they are not telling us.
Sleep tracking used to be marginal with Garmin, but my understanding is that it has improved a lot, since Garmin started using HRV and sleep stages (someone with experience can chime in).

Polar just unveiled the Polar Ignite, which has onboard GPS, new heart rate sensor with HRV capabilities and apparently much more informative sleep tracking. For $199 🙂
If I were to replace my Versa today, this is probably the watch I'd go for. The only thing lacking which I use on my Versa Special Edition is NFC for payments.
