I have a Versa 2 and it stopped syncing to my phone (Huawai P30 pro) and the sync option disappeared from my app, so unable to sync to phone.  I now a big red x on fitbit screen saying Data not cleared, Sync and try again, which I am unable to do.  I have reset the phone and turned Bluetooth off and on again and turned fitbit off but x remains and I am unable to set up another phone as the phone will not find my fitbit!! I can't even reset the fitbit as there is no reset button like on a phone. Please can anyone help if they have had the same problem and restored it .. TIA

Hi @SunsetRunner,

Please see the moderator post here.  This will factory reset the Versa 2.

If you don't want to factory reset the Versa 2, you can hold the button down for more than two seconds when you see the Fitbit logo appear and the device will just restart.

Hi @SunsetRunner

I had the same issue with my Fitbit versa (version 1) and I contacted Fitbit for help and they told me this, this has fixed my Fitbit and it is now up and running smoothly. Let me know if this helps:

Let's start by:

  • Turn off your phone.

While your phone is off, restart the Versa like this:

  • Press and hold the back button and bottom right button for 10 seconds until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen.

After this turn on your phone, open the app and log in to follow this procedure:

  1. Tap on the square button located on the top right corner of the screen.
  2. Tap on the "Set up a device" option.
  3. Look for the image of your Fitbit Versa.
  4. Tap on "Set up your tracker" If the app advise you to connect to WiFi, please do, as it might improve the watch's connection with your phone to setup.
  5. Tap on "I Agree" to accept the terms and policies.
  6. Tap on the arrow icon.
  7. Follow the on screen instructions.

If you're still unable to set up, try the troubleshooting steps below in this specific order.

  1. Go to Settings > Bluetooth and turn Bluetooth off and back on.
  2. Try setting up your device again.
  3. If your Fitbit device didn't pair, restart it. For instructions see How do I restart my Fitbit device?
  4. Try setting up your device again.
  5. If you can't set up after a restart, reboot your phone or tablet (turn it off and then back on).
  6. Try setting up your device again.
  7. If you can't set up after the reboot, remove all other Fitbit devices from your account and from the list of connected Bluetooth devices on your phone or tablet.
  8. Try setting up your device again.
  9. If you can't set up after removing all other Fitbit devices, try uninstalling and reinstalling the Fitbit app.
