Black screen on Fitbit versa

I have a black screen now on my Fitbit Bursa. I've charged it and still it won't turn on. It's been working fine. But not now. Can anyone let me know what I can do?

Yeah the first replaced just my fit bit got second one quickly but they
didn't ask me to send the broke one back...odd.
The second one got hot after charging, I mentioned to them about they not
asking for my original, so they wanted them both and the charger, that time
it took about 6 weeks!
I think we should get a extension of warranty for those weeks we were
without a Fitbit.

Hello @Nanarocky @Karenchew @Rowdyryans12 @RostickGirl, hope you are fine.

If your Versa isn't working then try cleaning the contacts using cotton with rubbing alcohol then charge it by plugging it for a couple of hours directly to your computer's usb port (try different ports) or use an UL listed usb wall adapter. After this, restart your device and see how it behaves. If the issue persist then let our Support team know so they can further assist you.

My replacement versa is working BUT my silicone wrist band that came with
my original purchase will NOT fit. I had bought a gray tweed like that came
with a person's " limited edition" and it fits..so did I get a limited
edition sent to me? I don't know because Fitbit does not label the
hardware..I can't use this band in water. I bought this Versa because I am
a water aerobics instructor and I STILL CAN'T USE IT IN WATER 😭.

To add insult to injury, is I have been without my Versa on transitions 2x
over 6 weeks, of which I had no Fitbit and loss of warranty time.

I think you all know you have a MAJOR quality issue with this product. I
have no issue with a USED/ SECOND HAND Charge 2...

Like to get what I paid for is ALL.

I got my replacement, Fitbit needs to identify on the device of what it is,
charge 2, versa, versa light, versa limited, reason being, my first
exchange my silicone wrist band ( one that came with orgininal) fit, sent
of the second, received and it doesn't fit the silicone band! I had bought
a band from a woman who did not need it she has a versa limited. Now that
band fits this replacement...I need the silicone band to fit because I
bought the versa to give me data as I a water aerobics instructor. So,
still not usable as I bought it.
GRERRRR! I sent Fitbit a note on my issue...nothing yet, guess another call.
I hope they don't think I don't or haven't read up on how to change the
band! Went to Target to get a band, the sales person stated, yep they have
issues not all band made for "x" Fitbit fits.

I had the same issue with my Versa. It got really hot on my wrist and actually had a small burn mark.  Called customer service and had to send my old one back.  They said 5-10 days. Already two weeks and the Fitbit hasn’t eve arrived if their warehouse. I hope it’s not another two weeks. Never realized how much I used it  ugh

I have a black screen and my Versa was fully charged. I've tried all the tricks and resets, but it's dead. On the latest reset, I have a dull gray screen with vertical lines ...what does that mean? No other sign of life. I'm calling customer service as I've exhausted my time asking for help and searching.

Well I got my third one, but it doesn't fit my silicone band that came with
the original new Versa I got the end of Nov 2018. Since they don't have
Versa, Versa Lite or Versa Limited written on the electronic, I am
uncertain what I got. I had previously bought a " limited" band from a
Versa Limited owner, it's tweed looks dressier....it fits my electronic,
but the silicone band only fits the side with the buckle holes, I bought to
use in water, I'm an water aerobics instructor..I have been 2 more months
trying to get the Fitbit Squad to understand and either send me another
band, part of the band, or another electronic,! Garmin come Christmas!

Can't seem to keep the dern things sync to the app either. Seems if you use
another Bluetooth device it goes to Nana land and you have reboot,
reinstall, re- something...
Good luck and remember there is a " China" man laughing his **ahem** off about
us Americans!

I returned it to Fibit, follow the instructions to avios delays. The process was pretty smooth a few hiccups but I got the new one, did the setup and working fine.

Yes i returned it to fitbit to following their instructions and it has been over two weeks since I sent it and they still do not have it in their warehouse.They provided a shipping label for fedex, which I thought would be quick, however it hasn't even arrived to their warehouse.And when it does it takes another 5-10 business days to process that they received it and issue a new one.  Not a quick turn around as far a I am concerned.  Regular mail would have gotten there faster after all is is just a small padded envelope.

Yes I must agree.. Garmin is looking good or if I change from a MOTO Z to
iPhone an Apple watch will be a must!

WOW ... I will say is took about 2-3 weeks for the entire process.   Keep calling them. Bug the snot😡 out of them

Finally talked to a person, and they walked me through everything that I
already tried to do. Still dead so he checked my waranty and will send me
another. I don't know if it will be a refurbished one or what.... stay
tuned!

I love the versa but unfortunately this has happened to me TWICE already! I am on my third Fitbit Versa and now it will NOT connect with my phone 😑

It will be a refurbished one, UNLESS you were willing to pay the
difference, I think they knock off 20-30% of a retail price. He was
supposed to give you that option. Mine works but can't get the buckle side
of orgininal silicone band to attach.. won't fit!

Yes I do believe I got a refurbished one also. I am having issues with the band also. I don’t understand why it has to be so difficult to get some good customer service. Grrr. Looking at the Apple Watch
