So I just noticed my fitbit had black screen. tried to unlock nothing happened. Put it on charge nothing. Looked up on here about restarting held buttons in and it came back on. My question is does this happen often? Is the fitbit versa known for just randomly shutting off? Does the ionic do this? I want a good reliable smart watch. My fitbit versa didnt record my sleeping today because of the random shut off.

I've had my Versa since May 2018, and was working fine (other than the occassional syncing issues), until 2 weeks ago. The clock face I was using said it needed an update which reset my settings. Since then, the watch hasn't kept a charge more than 2 days and was getting worse each day. Now, the screen is black, I can't wake it up, restart it, charge it. It just seems to be dead. Love fitbit, but frustrated.

Same issue here. I have had my Versa since June.  In August, HR went all out of whack. Basically, I am constantly doing cardio (HR in the upper 100's).  Resting HR at 100.  Then yesterday my screen went black.  Still works when I sync with the app but no HR, no display and a mess.Called customer support after i went through all the tips/tricks here and they are now sending me a new Versa.  I bought directly from Fitbit so they are sending me the new one free of charge.  If this one messes up i will be ditching Fitbit and looking at the Apple watch.
