Bluetooth audio cuts in and out with Bose Soundsport

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I normally listen to BT audio on my Bose through my iPhone 6s.  I decided to try the built in music functionality the Versa features.  But I'm finding the playback very choppy when I use the headphones with my Versa.  I've updated firmware on both devices but playback is still hit and miss.

Anyone have a similar issue with their BT headphones?

Hey @stratplaya2000, welcome to the Community! So there is no good connection between your Versa and your Bose Soundsport, right? If so, I suggest you to try the following:

- Restart your Versa

- Try to pair your again  Bose Soundsport with your Versa

- Try putting the watch preferably the same side as the receiver on the headphones

Let me know if the music quality improves!

Wearing the Versa on my right wrist versus my usual left wrist did improve playback quality.  There are still a few dropouts much it is less frequently now.

But it's a bit silly that I need to change wrists in order to get music playback.  Will Fitbit be addressing this issue in a future firmware update?

Thanks for your reply @stratplaya2000! Well, to be honest with you, I don't know if this will be improved with a new firmware update. By now I can only tell you that this is what works out the most and it is because the signal gets less interfered if you are wearing the Versa on the same wrist as the receiver. So in the meantime, I will kindly ask you to wear it that way. 😉

I find this so ridiculous do you guys not do research before making a product. This is promoted as a fit watch and you cant even walk and move your arms or else it drops the connection. Please tell me on the next version you guys will address this. I cant even jog much less sprint with this device without the audio being so choppy.

I had the same issue trying to play music through my Versa via wireless earphones - it lost connectivity every 15 seconds, which was totally frustrating!  The earphones worked through my phone, but not the Fitbit.  I've since bought some SoundPEATS Bluetooth Earphones from Amazon (less than £20) and these seem to work fine.  Tried them in my basement gym via my Versa with music downloaded onto the Versa from Deezer and it's great.  Might just be the headphones you're using?
