Bluetooth question- calendar alerts

Hi! I’m thinking of buying a Versa. If I download one of the apps that syncs with google calendar, do I need do have my phones Bluetooth on to get alerts/see my calendar? Or do I just need to be on WiFi? 

 

Im guessing Bluetooth has to be active for text alerts?

Yes, bluetooth needs to be turned on

Do any of the third party apps that sync with Google calendar like, save any info for the day/week when synced, so you can access that info if BT isn’t currently available? Thanks!
