Brand new Versa 3, battery draining within 4 hours

I bought my Dad a versa 3. Mostly to monitor his heart rate. So I've had all notifications turned off, removed music apps etc anyway because they'll just confuse him.

The battery is dying with hours. So I've been so over this forum looking for answers, and seeing the same response from fitbit with the list of things to do to conserve battery life which I've done. Still the battery is draining ridiculously quickly. From 100% to 10% in about 4 hours is insane.

Have I just bought a dud that i need to return and replace, or is there something NOT mentioned in the copy paste 'official' reply to this kind of question?

I should note as soon as i paired it to his phone i need to do an update, which i did. I now see a few topics with ppl complaining about that update, could it be too do with the update being weird?

Why is technology always so hard!

Hi @Subs88 - if you have restarted both watch and phone and in exhausts the battery within hours it is faulty - get an immedaite refund.

Yep, restarted both, reset to factory, reinstalled fitbit app etc etc etc 

 

Returning first thing Monday 😕
