Brand new Versa Special Edition won’t work

First Fitbit arrived today and bought the Versa Special Edition. Have spent a few hours trying to get it to work but no avail. It says it needs a hardware upgrade when paired with the app and has tried about 50 times to update but bombs out at 10%. Tried WiFi and Bluetooth. Getting a bit frustrated as want to use it and can’t get the watch to work at all. Any ideas?

Having the same issue. Brand new versa. Cannot do upgrade. Tried on All different devices over and over Again.  Cannot update and watch is useless
