Brand new fitbit not working

I have a brand new versa that is stuck on the "to start, download fitbit app" 

I already have the app and have set it all up on there however the data has not connected with the fitbit. 

I have switched it off and on again and it does the same thing!

Is the Bluetooth on the device you're using for the setup turned on?

Yes, the app believes it is set up, however the fitbit does not respond to anything

Having a similar problem. My app won't let me set it up. The versa is stuck on the "download the app" screen. Any luck?
