I bought a brand new versa today and I can't add to my existing account or set up or turn it off to restart?! I have turned my phone on and off countless times, reconnected to the watch to my phones bluetooth countless times. I have tried turning the watch off, but it wont. The screen on the watch says To start, download the fitbit app. I already have a fitbit app on my phone and I am trying to set up a new device by adding a new device. And it doesnt do anything. It goes straight back to my account page! Very frustrated as I have been trying for the past 3 hours to set my new watch up.

Try touching the gray's index card in the upper right corner of the App screen. (Account)
Now touch the picture of any tracker you may have attached.
scroll up to the red "remove this..." dialog and touch.
Now touch the <Account at the top left
at the bottom of the list touch +setup a device
choose versa from the top of the list and step through the process

But if I remove this will I lose all my data?? And can I then go re add it as I will give it to my daughter to use?

Not if you have sync'd the old tracker before removing.
(manually sync by touching and pulling down on App screen, just to be sure)
After sync all current data is added to historical data and uploaded to your Account server.
When your new Versa is added it will become the new primary tracker and next time you sync it's data will be added to your totals...
For your daughter, that old data "sticks" around for a week or so on the tracker so when she adds to her new account that information will be diplicated - she can either ignore it noting the day that she started using it, or let the tracker idle a week on a table before setting up to her account.

But if I remove my old device, will this lose all my data?? And if I remove it can I re add it after I have added my versa? My versa wont even connect via bluetooth

Thanks. I will try this tonight. How do I get it to bluetooth to my phone or do I need it connected to my phone until it is set up?

as long as bluetooth is turned on (mobile settings) the app will find it 😉

Unfortunately it didnt work!! I removed my flex and tried adding the versa by bluetooth and I plugged in the cord!! Screen on watch still says to download app???
