Brand new versa massively undercounting steps

Hi!

Just upgraded from Blaze to Versa. Had it three days and have noticed that the step count is significantly lower. I’m not talking a few hundred here, more like 2-3,000 a day! I usually smash 10k steps before I get to the gym in the evening, but now I am barely scraping 10k steps even after the gym and constant walking about at home.

Is there a noted issue lately?

Thanks in advance!

Hi, despite being a brand new watch, restart your Versa by pressing and holding the left and right lower buttons together untill you see the Fitbit logo and release the buttons. If that does not solve your problem, my next question will be: are you using a Third Party clock Face?

Good evening, thanks for your reply.

I was using a Fitbit original clock face. I have done a reset as suggested and also changed to a 3rd party clock face which seems to have improved the step counts for now. I still think that it’s undercounting slightly but there’s definite improvement!

thanks

I found the same thing and I found a fix in reducing the stride length — I'm 4'11' so an "average" stride isn't right.
