Hello!
I work in an office for about eight hours every day. Permanently sedentary.
Unfortunately, according to the Fitbit app, I never get the calories that my body really consumes.
It has been proven that a day of office work consumes between 600 and 800 calories. Unfortunately, the versa can not capture that and accordingly the calorie plan is not correct.
Is there a workout with which you can record office work?
Many online calorie calculators offer this.
If I don't do the math myself, I end up in a calorie deficit which I don't want and which might even be unhealthily low.
Any ideas?

Sorry but I don't quite understand the issue. I guess you are saying that your Fitbit does not measure calorie burn correctly. Is that what you mean? Are you saying it measures too high or too low? Can you give some numbers?
Or is your issue with what the eating plan says you allowed, rather than with fitbit's calories burned?

According to Fitbit, I only burned 1389 calories today. However, I worked almost ten hours in the office. The value calculated by Fitbit just covers the basal metabolic rate of my body. So yes, the watch definitely counts far too little. If I want to lose weight, Fitbit says that I can only eat about 900 kcal. That is almost too little to survive.

I think this problem is familiar to many. And I am no exception. Obviously, when you sit for 8 hours in a row, all your movements are limited to go to eat or go out to smoke. I tried to deal with it somehow, but nothing helped. Until I changed jobs. It just so happened that I quit my previous job. A friend offered to go to them 'cause they just have a vacant place. She often said that she really liked this job. The work really turned out to be great. But OMG! I didn't think office space could be that cool. Everyone is happy to go to the co working space 'cause the atmosphere there so cozy. Just imagine after a gray boring office getting into a large spacious office! It even has a relaxation room with exercise equipment. Sometimes I can go to the simulators, relax and return to work with renewed vigor. I'm delighted!
