Burnt wrist and greyed wifi after trying to update

Has this happened to anyone else???

After trying to update my Versa, my iPhone wifi stopped working. Completely.  No wifi at all.  They called it “greyed out”.  I HAD TO BUY A NEW PHONE.

Then my wrist kept getting hot and my watch became uncomfortable at times.  I woke up one day with a burnt wrist! I have a big red burn mark now and I’m sure it will scar.  😞

What the heck Fitbit!!??

It is not a burn. It is build up fungus & bacteria under the strap that is irritating your skin. Wash strap & your wrist in anti bacterial soap. There is a IOS 13,0 update release. I'm an IOS user. Zero issues at all for me. Did you take device to Apple specialist for them to investigate before buying a replacement? Apple, even if out of warranty, will assist you to full remedy.
Blaze, Surge, Ionic and Versa1. I am not a FitBit employee.

I think the user mentioning that the device was getting hot/uncomfortable indicates that this isn't related to fungus. I would say it sounds more reminiscent of a faulty lithium Ion cell. The only ones that can deal with this though are customer support.

I agree with @GrubbyDuck here, you should contact Apple as it sounds as though your iPhone is/was faulty. I can't think of any situation were an external device would fry a phones WiFi chip. In fact the Versa doesn't even connect to the phone via WiFi, it uses Bluetooth.
