Calibrate heart rate

I have issues with my fit bits heart rate.  I doesn't display my heartrate properly anymore.   It's too high.  Is there a better way to calibrate  because turning it off and on doesn't do the trick.

There seems to be a problem with FitBits (across various device models) accurately reading/displaying/recording heart rate (BPM’s) as mentioned in this post (Versa Heart Rate Inaccurate During Treadmill Exercise).
