Calorie count is off . It shows 790 calories burned before I even put watch on. Steps at 0.

Calories read 790 first thing in morning even before I wear watch.

I disagree that means "calorie count is off".  Perhaps you meant "calorie count seems to be off."

Fitbit counts BMR calorie burn - the calories you are burning just to stay alive - usually more than half your daily calorie burn.  These calories are credited even when not wearing the watch because Fitbit knows you are still burning the BMR calories, this is assuming you are alive, and if you are not alive, you won't mind the error.
