Calorie counter is inaccurate - and it has changed the calories from previous weeks

I noticed the calorie burnt from my spinning class yesterday was way off (135 calories for 60 minutes of spinning, compared to normally 550 calories). When i looked into this in the app, fitbit had backdated the calories for my workout as well as for the full day. Now the total amount of calories per day is around 1000 calories, which is completely wrong since my BMR is 1360. I usually come up to 3000 calories per day. Has this happen to anyone else? is it some update to fitbit that's causing this? (it's not the syncing that's the problem, it's just the counting. It seems to count 1/4 of the regularly counting). The fitbit count steps accurate and the heart rate when i run or spinning, but it's just calories that's WAY OFF.

Check that your weight has not somehow gotten set way too low.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Yes that was the problem! the weight had been set to 28 kg all of a sudden (I hadn’t changed it). When I changed it back to my regular 68 kg the calorie counter was back to normal. Two days later the weight dropped to 62,5 kg (again without me changing it). I’ve had Fitbit for 4-5 years, and I have never changed the weight, nor has it been changed automatically before, so I don’t know what’s going on with it now. But at least i know where to look now. Thank you!

@LCB70   When Fitbit is using your weight to calculate calorie burn, it uses your weight that is in the Personal section of your profile.  It doesn't matter what Fitbit you use, but it might matter if you use an Android or an iPhone.  It might be an app bug changing your weight.  Or it could be a fitbit.com (web) issue -- your weight is in your profile there, too.

What type of phone do you use?

I have iPhone 11. But as I said, throughout the years with Fitbit (charge hr, charge 2, versa 2), this has never happened before.
And I know I haven’t been changing the weight either since I don’t care about the weight. So maybe it was a temporary bug or something.
