Yesterday my new Fitbit versa says I burnt 4200 calories and I was extremely sedentary being a holiday. And i understand I burnt calories from just being alive but I know I'm not eating 4200 calories a day. They say burn more calories than you eat. Well I did that and just but sitting on the couch. I am 30 year old male and I weigh about 370# is my size the reason for such high numbers?

Hi, @Somature! That does sound rather high. Fitbit uses the Mifflin-St Jeor equation to calculate your BMR calories burned. I guesstimated that you were average height, but that puts you at about 2600 calories for the day. If your heart rate is elevated from normal, that could potentially have Fitbit calculating that you are burning more calories than you actually are. I would also double check your statistics in Fitbit just to make sure one of the numbers isn't wrong in there.

Sorry, I'm 6'0. My heart rate was very high cause I was so hot and very out of shape so it was showing me in the fat burn zone.
