Calories burnt way off

I woke up this am. Charged my Fitbit versa lite over night. Put it on walked to the bathroom 9 steps and burnt 568 calories???? If that’s the case there is no way possible that I’m overweight.

Ive only had my Fitbit a week and thought the calories were off. But when that’s way off.

Is there a way to fix this??

I think it's working ok.

As well as tracking calories burned through activity your fitbit also tracks your BMR calories. These are the calories you burn just keeping your body alive (even when asleep). They are calculated from your profile settings for age, height, weight etc so you needn't be wearing your fitbit to get them. What you are seeing includes the total BMR calories burned since midnight

Fitbit includes BMR (basal metabolic rate) calories that you ar e always burning just by being alive.  You are also burning these calories overnight while sleep.  These calories are credited even when you are not wearing the tracker.

See How does Fitbit estimate how many calories I've burned?

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
