Come on Fitbit.. this issue was known back when the Ionic was launched last October... same issue with the Versa... Now with the Charge 3... why does it take over a year to fix a bug?

JANUARY 2019 AND STILL HAVING THIS ISSUE.. WHATS HAPPENING???
I got the Versa for xmas and I'm also having this issue when I manually start the workout on my watch.. But the other day I went for a walk and it automatically detected the activity and recorded the cals burned. This is so annoying!!! Are they going to fix it?? Never had this issue with the Charge 2.
