Calories entered not being used in the total.

Using a versa 2 for 3 years, and I've just started using the logging calories function for 2 months.  Regularly the data is added to the total 'in' but then often doesn't add up.  Yesterday the total disappeared altogether, even though the items were on the log.  This happened previously, I deleted it all and reentered, and still not being counted. Is there a bug in the software?
