Can I connect my Versa 3 to my laptop?

Hi,

I recently purchased a Versa 3 and am planning on connecting it to my laptop as my phone is damaged and needs to be fixed. I was wondering if connecting the Versa 3 first to a laptop and then my iPhone 11, once it’s fixed, is a) possible and b) that it doesn’t reduce the features I can access on my phone.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello @timmselodie.  I'm sorry, but you can't set up a Versa 3 on a Windows based laptop or a MacBook.  You must use a compatible smartphone or tablet.

All Fitbit models have needed a smartphone/tablet for set up since 2020 or so.

Hello @timmselodie

You can absolutely connect it to your laptop now while waiting for your iPhone to be repaired. Once your iPhone is repaired you simply installed the Fitbit app to your iPhone (unpair it from your laptop) and pair it to your iPhone. My only suggestion would be to have the Versa 3 only connected to one device as trying to connect the Versa 3 to two devices at the same time can sometimes cause confusion and conflict.

To answer your other question…having your Versa 3 connected to your iPhone does not reduce the features you access on your phone. You might find the Fitbit app easier to manage since you’ll have the iPhone with you more then the laptop I’m sure.

😃I hope I provided you with the best answer for your question. Please let me know.
