Can I not listen to Spotify on my FitBit when I am out of range?

I bought a FitBit so I could run without my phone. I also bought wireless earbuds so I could listen to Spotify. But as soon as I get out of range of my phone, the only function that works is tracking my activity. Is this how the device was designed??

Yes, @JayHayDeeDay , that is how it works. You can use your device to control Spotify on your phone. But your phone is actually the device connecting to the internet and playing the music. You can read more about it here. If you have a subscription to Pandora or Deezer, you can download playlists from those services to your Versa 2. See the specs page of the Versa 2 under the Smart column.
