Good morning / afternoon,
I have just received my new Versa and have read somewhere in these Forums that you can charge your Fitbit from the mains using an approved USB plug.
Nor wanting to ruin my new Versa from the start, does anyone know if this will be suitable to use as a charger for my Versa? Most of the time I will be unable to use a PC/Laptop to charge it. It is a Masterplug SRGDU41PB2 4 Socket 1m Surge Protected Extension Lead with 2 X USB (2.1A), The box states "2.1A output is shared across the two USB outputs"
Many Thanks,
Phil

It's great to see you here @Philmike.
I appreciate the attachment. Regarding your charging inquiry, we recommend plugging your cradle into a USB port on your computer or other low-energy device. If you don't have access to any of these, you can use a UL-certified USB wall charger. Don't use a USB hub or battery pack to charge, and only use the cradle that came with your Versa.
I hope this helps, let me know if you need anything else.

Hi,
Many thanks for your reply. I have now sourced a UL-certified plug which Fitbit Customer Services this
morning confirmed was ok to use. Many thanks.
Regards,
Phil

There are many different charger plug strengths and types what is the correct one? Or only use the computer. No instructions came with it.

Hi,
In the end I purchased a new wall socket with a built in USB socket, that
matched the output of a computer USB output. Be working great for a few
months.
