I just did a bike ride and the Fitbit app showed the distance but when I set my Fitbit to cycling exercise it didn’t log the distance or speed (I have Bluetooth to passive). Anyways is there anyway that on the next workout Versa can give the Fitbit the speed info? Or do I have to change settings in the Fitbit app?

If you put your watch in exercise mode/bike ride, it will use the connected GPS functionality if your smartphone is nearby, and will log distance and average speed.

It's great to see you around @frop1.
Regarding your inquiry, Fitbit Versa don't provide speed information. I took the liberty and searched for a request like this but didn't find any. Feel free to visit our feature suggestions board and share your ideas.
Catch you later.

Go to Exercise app on your watch. Swipe to the Bike exercise and click settings (top left corner). Scroll down to Customize stats. Select stats you want to be shown during exercise. One of them is speed and average speed. I have distance as top stat, heart rate as middle, and speed as bottom stat. You will be able to see the stats when you manually start the exercise on your watch. You can also tap the screen to scroll thru other stats. Note: the speed and distance rely on your phone GPS so you need to start the exercise manually. If you rely on Fitbit to automatically recognize outdoor biking, only calories, heartrate and active minutes will be recorded. Hope that helps.
