Yes it can be done, I’ve recently bought spares or repairs Fitbit versa lites and stripped them to make working ones. Hardest part it removing the screen but piece of cake once you’ve done one or two.

My Versa is barely 2 years old and can’t last the day, even with every feature disabled. I’m discouraged that the battery can’t be replaced.

pretty much nothing... the watch only has a one year warranty. Mine only lasted one year, got a replacement and it only last a year too. I'm getting an apple watch...

The battery is underneath the circuit board. It’s not hard to replace you just have to be careful removing the screen so the lcd or the ribbons don’t get damaged. I have changed screens and batteries a few times now. It’s not too hard but I do repair mobile phones for a living so used to a fiddly challenge.

I was never informed this was a throw away. It's my last fitbit too. Sad.

Who me? Looks like you could be in America and I’m in the uk.
Old comment I know but yes they’re sealed but you can gain access to the internals to replace the battery and screen if needed.
you will lose the factory waterproofing but with a decent adhesive to seal it back up it shouldn’t be a problem.
Why aren’t Fitbit on the case with this? So many users who love their Fitbit are giving up on them and going to other manufacturers. It’s a crime that you make a product that is not repairable. Similar to Apple who don’t want items repaired by anybody but themselves. Yes you can access the Fitbit to change the battery. I have done quite a few. If the unit is out of warranty then I don’t see why people can’t attempt to work on them. At the end of the day it’s a dead paperweight anyway.

Apple are the same. Sealed unit and they don’t want anyone working on them apart from Apple themselves. Both units are opened the same, by removing the screen. I have worked on both and to be honest, Fitbit is easier.

It's amazing Fitbit is still in business with the garbage they put out. I have had 3 watches and 1 was replaced under warranty, one was just out of warranty so they discounted me a 3rd (big mistake) and it is headed for the same fate as the others as it is lucky to make it through a day now with a charge. I don't care if they give me another discount, I will not be purchasing anything from Fitbit ever again. Junk!

Same issues here. Charged it fully Friday night, by Saturday night it was down to 9%. Everything turned off, yes I’ve tried all the tips to extend battery life. Bought a cheap Letsfit watch on Amazon because of the on demand spo2 issue and I’m not sure I like it because it’s bigger than the Versa, but maybe I’ll give it another try until I save for Apple Watch.

It’s a shame this issue is ongoing with no signs of being resolved. I think it’s time Fitbit need to look into another battery supplier and figure out what part of the software is killing the battery. I have smart watches that last 30 days (won’t name as post will be removed again!) with 24 hour heart rate and step monitoring so something is seriously wrong. I’ve had versas etc but the best Fitbit I had was a charge 3. Battery lasted 4 days but sold it.
