In 3 years I have had 2 Versa watches burned out after 12 months. I'm done of course google owns them now but I'm done. I bought one of these on sale for $50 so far it works https://itouchwearables.com/. Not quite as many features but cheaper if it craps out.

Disappointed that my Versa screen is dead, no lights.  Intermittent fitbit logo will appear when I attempt to reset.  Spoke with tech support today who were unable to help. I tried to do the sync when fully charged, at 100%, 50%  and just under 10%.  Just told me my battery appears to be dead.  They sent me a discount link for a new device but the prices with the "discount" are about the same as at my local store.  Some discount!  I really like my Versa but disappointed that it lasted just 40 days past my warranty.

Hi Elyod,

That’s a great tip. I have decided to go with Apple Watch now. more stable and durable product. Apple Watch 4 is proved similar to the latest versa.

Hi Mshee,

That looks like the trend of the life of the versa watch...about 13 months. Poor quality, no stability or durability. Highly disappointed. I am going for Apple Watch now.

Well it looks like I have joined the long list of Fitbit users whose device has died and will not recharge.  Immediately after the update in early Dec 2019, the heart rate monitor began playing up, therefore it wouldn’t register my sleep properly.  Then the battery started draining, going from a 5 day life to 2 days.  The last couple of weeks the heart rate monitor stopped working altogether, no flashing lights on the back at all and battery lasting 1 day.  Last night put it on to charge, 100% before I went to bed, put it on and this morning it is completely dead and will not charge at all.  I had posted elsewhere on the forum and was told to try the fixes, which I had already tried several times and told them so.  After that no response from them at all.  Definitely won’t buy another Fitbit product - I would expect that a product I paid A$329 for would last longer than 18 months.

Hi, I’ve lost track of the number of UNHAPPY Fitbit Versa owners. I posted this on the Fitbit Community Posting Board. One would think with so many negative responses about their product that a Representative of the Fitbit Company would have something to say! Anything?

Fitbit will no longer be a product that is purchased by my family, and actually I advise everyone to stay away from this company as their products last less than a year!

Sorry, but your Fitbit is at the end of its life.

I’ve read more than I want to about this product and Most Articles day the battery CAN NOT BE REPLACED .

One of my reply’s said a new battery was $60. and installation of it can be really tricky.

I decided to toss the FitBit, in my open it’s not worth what it does to my BP!!

I am still miffed by The Fitbit Company and their lack of concern about the reliability of their products.
My husband got me one for Christmas, I loaded and reload the watch to my phone and it wouldn’t work straight out of the box. This was the same time his Versa was dying.
Needless to say I took the new one back.

My advice STAY AWAY FROM ANY FITBIT PRODUCT!

I am shocked!  I did this process and my fitbit came back to life!  I held all three buttons down at the same time and sure enough, the logo appeared.  Battery was at 3%, so I put it on the charger.  I hope this will be the end of my issue for a while.  Thank you for posting!

I, too. would like to have a replaceable battery in future models of Fitbit.  They are way too expensive to have such a short lifespan.  And what a waste to the environment creating fitness bands that have to be discarded because of a battery.  That's just irresponsible.

This product is garbage.  Two chat sessions with no resolution in sight, instead being told to change clock faces and not use any of the features I purchased it for.  The first chat session told me I had 6 DAYS of battery left LOL, but it was already so dead I couldn't even turn it on.  Their product sucks, their customer service is awful.  I have had various Fitbits through the years and have been a loyal customer, but after today and this product I am DONE.

I wonder if their previously excellent service, which I have also
experienced, is poor now since Google bought them not so long ago?

I totally agree, all the Versa Fitbit’s are trash when the battery dies. Waste of money and the environment.
Guess that’s what but g business is about these days. The almighty $ and screw the buyers! Totally finished with Fitbit and all their practice.

Google hasn't bought Fitbit.

I’m really not in the mood to read an article that has Google patting it own back and telling of future products.

It does not negate the fact that the Fitbit that I purchase was a $199.99 plus sales tax out of my pocket and it worked for 11 months and then it died!

The folks at Google may be rich enough to drop $199.99 plus tax every 11 months, but I and thousands of other folks can not!

Please don’t send me any more emails touting Google owned products as I will be avoiding them like the plague !

The deal hasn't finalized. There were antitrust concerns. Some feel Google would have too information about people combining what they can already track, with health info. Google is NOT in charge of Fitbit, as was stated above......YET.
