Can only transfer music to Versa from a "computer"?

  It is very frustrating that one can only transfer music from a "computer" (i.e. PC).  I have a Microsoft Surface Pro, which is essentially a computer, and uses IE 11 - yet both online chat & phone help from Fitbit said I should go out and buy a computer just so I can transfer music.  Really?  If I had known that I would have bought the Charge3 instead of the Versa! I bought the Versa to have music. My Surface cannot even connect to the Versa. (It connected fine to my Alta and Flex2.)

  I don't have a PC.  I don't want a PC.  I want music on my Versa.  In this day and age Fitbit really needs to update their technology to make it easier to transfer music from multiple devices - PCs, tablets, and phones.  I spent a lot of money on my Fitbit and cannot use one of its main features.  That is complete BS and makes me very upset.   Is Fitbit planning an update soon that will make it possible to transfer music multiple ways?

@AcadiaSelkie Welcome! It's great to see you around! Sorry to hear that you can't transfer music from your Surface tablet. At this time only Windows 10 and Mac computers are able to transfer music to your Versa. Still you can vote for the idea about expanding the options to mobile devices. The more votes an idea gets the more likely the developers will try to implement it. Also you don't need to buy a computer it is just that one is needed for this specific feature. You could try using a friends or relative computer to do this and just keep the music stored on your Versa.

Let me know how it goes!

I voted and commented.  Looks like the suggestion is already a year old and STILL under consideration.  The options to buy a computer or find a friend who has one are not acceptable.

At the time I bought my Versa (this past September), the description did not state music can only be added to the Versa with a "computer", that this feature does not work with smartphones or tablets. I even reviewed the Versa in an online chat with Fitbit before buying.  Nobody said anything.

Fitbit, if you can't get with the times quickly, at least inform the buyer ahead of time!

@AcadiaSelkie,

I have a Surface Pro (3) and I can transfer music to my Versa just fine.  Which version of the Surface Pro do you have?  And which version of the OS are you running on it?

Hopefully, I'll be able to help you get you transferring music.  Please respond and we'll start to narrow down the cause.
