I can now download any app I want, however I can’t download Spotify. It tells me the same “To install this app, make sure the Fitbit app on your phone and your Fitbit device have the latest update.” Spotify is really the only app that I want and or need on my watch.

Hi there @Mshasteen2003, welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the steps you've tried so far in order to connect Spotify to your Versa Lite.
Please note that Spotify is viewable in the app gallery for all smartwatch users. However, users will need to be on the most recent firmware (OS 4.0.2) to install it. As per the description of your post, it seems that you're still running an old version, Versa Lite is now in version 38.70.7.14.
Also, have you checked if your phone is compatible? If you haven't, you can see the list of compatible devices at: Which phones and tablets can I use with my Fitbit watch or tracker?
For more detailed information, take a look at: How do I control music playing on Spotify?
I hope this helps, let me know if you need further assistance.

Hello, I was having the same issue and found your answer helpful, but I have one concern.
I checked my Fit Bit Versa Lite for firmware version, and even though it is brand new and I got it today, it is a different version than the one you mentioned.
Instead of 38.70.7.14 I am stuck in 38.33.1.30 and I have no notifications on the device or fit bit app that I reinstalled about a new update. Can you help with this please?

I'm having the same issue. I've been trying to work with customer service and 2 different agents so far have told me that I have the latest version and have been unable to help.

I have the same issue with my Ionic (upgraded from Charge 3 mainly in order to be able to use the Spotify app.)
My Ionic have Firmware Version: 27.3.3.1.30
No indication that there is an update available, so I'm assuming this is the latest?
If not - how to upgrade?
My Fitbit app is also updated.
Spotify app refuse to install because: "make sure the app and device have the latest update".
Can you please tell me how to resolve the issue?
