I am having a hard time in adding friends to my fitbit app. Please help. Fitbit doesn't seem to have a direct support contact, which is disappointing, because they could help me quicker with this issue

Hello there @LSabuka1, welcome to the Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear that you're having a hard time in adding friends on the Fitbit app, I'll be glad to help you with this.

Please take a look at the steps below and make sure you're following them as described:

  1. Tap the Today tab and tap your profile picture.
  2. Tap your name > View All Friends Add Friends
  3. Choose a method to find friends, then tap the Add Friend icon next to the name or email address of the person you want to add.

You can also send a friend request to a member of the Fitbit community. For more information, see What should I know about the Fitbit Community?

On a side note, if you're trying to add Facebook friends, note that this feature will work with friends that have created a Fitbit account using the same email address linked to Facebook. If the link doesn't exist then they won't appear as an option to add to your friends list. This may be the reason you don't see them. If you wish you can remove the Facebook link by going to the apps area on your account and revoke its access. You can read more about adding friend here.

If you are getting any error message in the Fitbit app when trying to add friends, please let me know what the message says so I can go from there. Also, let me know the make/brand of the mobile device you're using and its current OS.

We're sorry you couldn't reach out to Support Team, due to recent events affecting our operations, support options are limited and wait times are longer than usual. Please note that I will be more than glad to create a support case on your behalf if necessary.
