Can't add my Versa anymore

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Weve done all of the troubleshooting that is available from restarting devices, unistalling fitbit, sign out, etc. And the fitbit wont add back to the device.

It shows up on the bluetooth (deleted it from our connections) but it still wont add back.

Any help? This is frustrating

Hi there, @Hawkeye1993 @CeCe7324. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your Fitbit devices are not pairing anymore. I understand your concern and how you must be feeling, I will do my best to help you with this!

To better assist you, please confirm that you've tried all the steps below in the order listed:

  • Unpair your Fitbit device from your phone's Bluetooth and Fitbit app.
  • Unpair other Bluetooth devices that you may also have paired to your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your Fitbit device.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Fitbit device.
  • Once your Fitbit device is paired and syncing, please proceed to set up your other Bluetooth devices to your phone again.

With the steps above, what I want you to do is to pair your Fitbit device first to your phone's Bluetooth settings before any other Bluetooth device is connected to your phone.

Also, please make sure that your Fitbit devices are fully charged.

I followed all these steps and the app still will not add my Versa 2.

Frustrating and yes have tried everything multiple times and it still doesn't work. I don't know why l keep buying them. I need a refund or a new one. Purchase a month ago.

Several Fitbit users are having this same issue, including me and I got in contact with them. I'm assuming an app update may fix the problem, at least I am hoping.

Best Answer

I am not able to sync and update firmware. I hope you have some success.

Not yet. I'm hoping as soon as the Fitbit app updates, we can sync and update our watches.

I am looking at getting an Apple watch. I owe two Fitbits that don't work
one is new.

I even did a factory reset this morning and fitbit hangs and does not complete the setup. Also, without the app to sync the time, I woke up to my phone being 10 minutes slow. I hope they issue a new app update.

I have done all of the suggestions short of doing a factory reset.  This is 6 days being unable to connect versa 3 to phone app, and now my wife's versa 3 will not sync for the second day.  I have been in touch with fitbit but no solution. My fitbit will track my steps but is useless as a watch as the time displayed is wrong!  A tracker at less than a tenth of the price of my fitbit can perform better.

Done all this several times and still haven't been able to sync since last Wednesday, these "updates" are a nightmare, will be putting a new tracker on my Xmas list this year 😑

I have spoken to Fitbit help a number of times since my versa 2 stopping syncing last week - my impression is that they have no idea how to fix this and cannot give an update - latest app update released on Saturday didn't solve the problem - mine still will not sync - If they cannot fix this issue by now, I suspect they will not be able to! Customer service are very unhelpful
