Can't change the brightness or the screen wake settings on my Versa 2

I’m the last day, the settings for screen Brightness is stuck on Dim and the Wake setting is stuck on Manual. These are not the settings I had chosen and that I have been using for over a year. These settings are dimmed and won’t allow me to change them to what I want.

What do I do to fix this?

Hi there, @dpickles53. Welcome to the Community Forums.

It seems that you've set your Versa 2 into Sleep Mode. When the sleep mode setting is on:

  • Notifications, goal celebrations, and reminders to move are muted.
  • The screen's brightness is set to dim.
  • The Always-On Display clock face is turned off.
  • The screen stays dark when you turn your wrist.
  • The sleep mode icon illuminates in the quick settings.

To turn off Sleep Mode, please swipe down from the clock face on your watch to access the quick settings. For more information, see How do I navigate my Fitbit device?

Hope this helps.

That was it. An inadvertent setting of sleep mode had a whole bunch of
unintended consequences!!

Thanks!!

I am having the same problem with brightness, it is set at minimum brightness, and I tried changing the brightness to max but it doesn't change. It's not in sleep mode.

@Kumar_ranjan  - did you try restarting your watch?

Yes I restarted it but still same problem, I even did factory reset but still brightness is at minimum and doesn't change to max or medium.

@Kumar_ranjan  - thanks, that's very odd. What did customer support say? (Can be reached in the Fitbit App, profile photo, help & support)

They suggested I had set my Versa to sleep mode which disables these
functions. Turns out that’s what I did inadvertently. Problem solved. --
