Fitbit Update: 6/5

Hey there, Versa Fam!

Thanks so much for your patience with this issue of clearing notifications from the watch. Our team has identified a fix for this that will release in a future firmware update.

I'm not sure when the next firmware update will be rolled out, just know it should include the fix for this. In the meantime, please give your Versa a restart if you have trouble "clearing all" the notifications off. After the restart, your notifications will be gone.

Fitbit Update: 2/27

Hi everyone!

I just wanted to follow-up with you all that have come across any difficulty clearing notifications on their Versa. I've experienced this myself a few times and a restart has always resolved the problem. Please give the watch a restart as your go-to troubleshooting step.

Our team is aware of this ongoing problem and working on a permanent fix. Please stay subscribed to this thread for future updates on this topic.

Ha ha!

My original response was to @KPrih explaining that it was not the issue he was experiencing and describing.

I thought you were also responding about that red dot disease! Ha ha.

Sorry, not so.  I've restarted my Versa twice to try to get it to correctly count stairs.  The funny thing is, stair flights were accurately counted until about a week or so ago.  I have had a notification on my App (the only notification) since February when I got my Versa.  That notification is still there, along with the annoying red dot that tells me I have said notification.

In summary--stair flights still being miscounted (grossly) and notification still there, with no way to delete it.

Sorry, but what does this have to do with being unable to clear notifications on the Versa watch?

I am also unable to clear notifications on the app, also having the annoying red dot. But a different thread deals with that.

Inability to count stairs will also be on a different thread.

Seems to me whatever the problem whatever the thread none of the problems are being addressed. fitbit is just ploughing on with the introduction of "new experiences" that don't work either.

Fitbit get your act together!!

So true!

Time for me to unsubscribe, get on with life and know if there is ever a change I will find that out sometime or other.

There is no clear all in my notifications.   I have restarted my Fitbit many times & all of the outdated notifications are still there.

This does not concern the notifications on the app. Wrong thread.

What's the status of the permanent fix?

Being "aware of the problem" is just not good enough this problem has existed for over 8 months!

At risk of giving Elliekennard red spots the app notification problem has existed for over 18 MONTHS!.

My wife has 200 notifications stuck in app dating from 15Jan18 to 16June18.

Forget the "NEW EXPERIENCES" and fix the basics!!

@silvermetis

Lol!

The Versa will only show a maximum of (I think) 30 notifications! There's no way she had that many there! Now I know you're having us on. I'm off outta here.

Hi Elliekennard,

I am referring to the notification in the app - the ones you select at the bottom right hand corner of the old dashboard. That's where the 200 notifications are - hence ref to red spots joke with you.

@silvermetis

And this thread is not about the app. It is about notifications showing in the Versa watch. Which is why I said you were having us on.

There is another thread about notifications on the app. With red dots. It's just not this one.

And another bug is that you can't stop getting these emails even when you unsubscribe.

I think we can both agree there are more bugs in fitbit s/w than what remains of the Amazon jungle

With the announcement of Versa 2, would that speed up the release of the new firmware for the original Versa together with new features in some way? I've been a supporter of Fitbit for a while (from the original Charge, Blaze to Versa) and seems like software update for the hardware has been the weakest point of the company so far, hope this can be improved someday...

Power down your Fitbit then power it back up after like a minute then it will be back to normal. (Go to settings, scroll all the way down then click "about", then click shutdown)

Are you suggesting that this is want we need to do 3 times per week (or more)?

Respectfully, I'm just asking about an ix Fitbit referenced earlier this year.

FYI... There is a much easier way to restart the watch than your way.
