Fitbit Update: 6/5
Hey there, Versa Fam!
Thanks so much for your patience with this issue of clearing notifications from the watch. Our team has identified a fix for this that will release in a future firmware update.
I'm not sure when the next firmware update will be rolled out, just know it should include the fix for this. In the meantime, please give your Versa a restart if you have trouble "clearing all" the notifications off. After the restart, your notifications will be gone.
Fitbit Update: 2/27
Hi everyone!
I just wanted to follow-up with you all that have come across any difficulty clearing notifications on their Versa. I've experienced this myself a few times and a restart has always resolved the problem. Please give the watch a restart as your go-to troubleshooting step.
Our team is aware of this ongoing problem and working on a permanent fix. Please stay subscribed to this thread for future updates on this topic.

Is there no phone support in India? Or email? Report the problem that way. When we have had issues in the past we have to contact by phone or email.

Interesting- Resetting the watch worked perfectly for me, clearing all notifications as expected. I wonder if older versions of firmware work differently. I have the latest model of Fitbit Versa Special Edition, and have had very few problems with anything until I encountered problems with notifications. However, a couple of simple fixes resolved each of them. So far, so good!
Well, here I am, commenting on my own email. Turns out that the first reset as mentioned above lasted about 5 days, upon which the notifications failed to clear again. Now, two days later, I’ve had to reset again. Hopefully a future firmware update will fix this problem. Everything else seems to work fine!

Great! But wait to see how long this works for. I had assumed it would continue to work for a long time, but it didn’t. I reset the watch again today, and it’s been working for about 8 hours, but I’ll see if I’ll need to reset it again.

I’m thrilled that the “Not clearing notifications” will soon be fixed. But I want to be sure you still keep in mind that occasionally I STOP getting notifications. My workaround is to just RESET my iPhone XS (not the Versa). After that I get a FLOOD of notifications, and, if I had reset my Versa SE, the notifications are properly cleared.
Hoping to hear about a fix for that also.

Your fix worked for me yesterday too Aless but today I'm not getting my text notifications AT ALL no matter what I have tried. I'm so mad at myself because now I wish I had just left well enough alone. LOL
I restarted my Versa Lite by holding side button & the bottom one underneath until logo showed up, I uninstalled & reinstalled the fitbit app, all my settings still are set for notifications in my iPhone. So I guess I'll start a new topic in this forum asking for help.

If notifications worked for you recently, but not now, just restart your PHONE (if that’s what you’re using with your Versa). When I do that, messages come flooding in to my Versa. That has worked for me every time. I suggested Fitbit add the “No Notifications” issue and workaround to their list of fixes.

Restarting my Fitbit has not worked for the problem of not being able to clear out my notifications.

Are you talking about clearing notifications on the app or on the Fitbit device?

Messages don't clear on the app
Wonder if anyone from the Fitbit team is reading these messages

Ghandi:
Fitbit staff is indeed reading and responding here. They have frequently posted that to clear notifications, RESET your Fitbit on the watch (please scroll back to earlier postings for instructions). Resetting the watch will clear old notifications and should work for many days.
They also said that a fix for this will.be released soon.
Again, you and anyone else reading this should scroll back to see MANY postings from Fitbit staff.

This thread is about notifications not clearing on the Fitbit device. Specifically the Versa. (See the header at the start of this thread)
There will be another thread for notifications on the app not clearing. But not this one.
Restarting your Fitbit device will not affect notifications on the app as far as I am aware.

If restarting the Versa does not clear the notifications (as it has for the rest of us, albeit only for a period of time each time) then I suggest you contact customer support. Your Versa is not responding as it should, is my thinking.

Hi everyone. Sorry for the delay in my reply.
Let me help you with your Versa notifications. I you haven't tried please follow the instructions in my previous post which include restarting your device and if this doesn't work then perform a Factory Reset on your device (note that you will need to setup the device again).
@Ginofs your issue is more about syncing that anything else so you can try these suggestions.
Keep me posted.

Thanks Alvaro! I’m really not having a lot of problems with my Versa SE. Every now and then, my notifications don’t clear completely, and I just do a simple Fitbit watch shutdown (NOT factory reset). This gets the functionality back to 100% clearing of notifications for maybe a week or more. Even less often, I get NO notifications, for which I just reset (shut down) my iPhone - nothing else. Then notifications come flooding into the Versa, and they are cleared properly. Since the FitBit team indicates a fix is in the works, I can wait a while for the fix.
