Fitbit Update: 6/5

Hey there, Versa Fam!

Thanks so much for your patience with this issue of clearing notifications from the watch. Our team has identified a fix for this that will release in a future firmware update.

I'm not sure when the next firmware update will be rolled out, just know it should include the fix for this. In the meantime, please give your Versa a restart if you have trouble "clearing all" the notifications off. After the restart, your notifications will be gone.

Fitbit Update: 2/27

Hi everyone!

I just wanted to follow-up with you all that have come across any difficulty clearing notifications on their Versa. I've experienced this myself a few times and a restart has always resolved the problem. Please give the watch a restart as your go-to troubleshooting step.

Our team is aware of this ongoing problem and working on a permanent fix. Please stay subscribed to this thread for future updates on this topic.

Hi,

I've been trying to clear all the notifications off my Fitbit all day, and each time I scroll to the top of my notifications for the "clear all" button, my Fitbit (Versa) restarts.  I've also tried manually restarting and **ahem**ting down my device completely but this hasn't fixed the problem.  Is this a new part of the ongoing issue or am I the only one?

I'm having the same problem

My issue disappeared after I have been shutting down and restarting my watch for the last several weeks. I had given up on it but each I'd shut it down. Then yesterday, all's clear. Good luck! That's my only advice.

Also have this. Restarting seven times a week isn't a solution?

I finally got them to delete.

I had to restart my Fitbit.  Thank you for your help.

Are you deleting them through the tracker or the email program? What operating system does the phone use?

Hello @SandraA I hope you're doing well, it's nice to see you around. It's great to see you too @Rich_Laue🙂

@SandraA I appreciate you have taken the time to updating us regarding this matter and let us know that after restarting your Versa by pressing and holding the Back and Select buttons (left and bottom right) until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen the Notifications were removed from your watch. I'm very glad.

In case you have some spare time, I would like to invite you to visit our Discussions board where you will find great tips and encouragement from other members and if there's anything else I can do for you, please keep me posted!

I have graduated to a new problem. Now, all of my notifications have cleared. 😊 But, now I don't get any notifications when I get a call or a message. It used to buzz me when I get a call and I could see a text message. No more. What happened here?

----------------

Problem solved. All I have to do was to press the button on the left and hold. Then a screen shows up which had my notifications turned off. Just uncheck the box and you're done.

This has been an issue for me the last couple of days.  I restart my Versa and it is fine and then a day later it does it again.  Are they still working on this issue?  I see this post is from February.  Mine just started doing it within the last week and I have had mine for many months.  Thank you!

I turn off my watch once a week now (I read somewhere that you were supposed to do) and have no longer any trouble with the notifications. This is important because when the notifications are off, it usually means that it is not syncing correctly.

Mine was doing this for a while. I did the restart phone/restart fitbit a few times whenever it would happen to clear the old notifications. It seems to have now gone away on it's own now. So maybe we just need to wait in the meantime while they work on a permanent fix for everyone? Hopefully it gets fixed for everyone soon.

This is happening to me too. My new issue now is that no notifications are sending at all????

Could it be that you have hit the maximum number? After that nothing sends. I think someone said it is 30. Though I might have remembered that incorrectly.

I clear my notifications out immediately. I don’t let them pile up. OCD thing.
