Fitbit Update: 6/5

Hey there, Versa Fam!

Thanks so much for your patience with this issue of clearing notifications from the watch. Our team has identified a fix for this that will release in a future firmware update.

I'm not sure when the next firmware update will be rolled out, just know it should include the fix for this. In the meantime, please give your Versa a restart if you have trouble "clearing all" the notifications off. After the restart, your notifications will be gone.

Fitbit Update: 2/27

Hi everyone!

I just wanted to follow-up with you all that have come across any difficulty clearing notifications on their Versa. I've experienced this myself a few times and a restart has always resolved the problem. Please give the watch a restart as your go-to troubleshooting step.

Our team is aware of this ongoing problem and working on a permanent fix. Please stay subscribed to this thread for future updates on this topic.

My coworker is having that problem now too. Hopefully they will fix it. We have all reset out versa’s several times. Shouldn’t have to do that every other day. Hang tight they’ll fix it. Keep stepping!!!

I am unable to clear my text notification. I’ve tried the things suggested here, including rebooting the Fitbit, deleting the app from my phone and disconnecting from Bluetooth. Nothing works. I’m so frustrated and disappointed with this. I guess I will have to return it to the store.

I too, have this issue.  I wind up restarting my Versa every day when I see the last notification won't clear.

Fitbit,  please fix this bug!

Thank you to the ones who took the time to restart your devices and trying different troubleshoots. If you are having issues with the notifications not clearing please restart your device. If the issue persist you could try doing a Factory Reset but note that you will need to set it up again. Finally if you aren't getting notifications please follow these instructions.

Let me know how it goes.

I had the same problem and the only way that it went away was when I let the battery of my watch die so when I recharged it, the notifications were gone so maybe try that

I’m having an issue where I can’t clear the notification on my app. I have a red dot indication new message or notification, but there’s just one old one I can’t get rid of. Any thoughts?

Do we have an ETA on when this issue could be fixed?  Making users to reset their device every day is not a permanent solution.  It's been almost 3 months now since we had an update on this.  Is this issue ever going to be fixed or are we forced to used the bandaid solution of resetting the device everyday?

Thank you so much! Someone had done multiple tags on Facebook with me. It all came on my watch at the same time and I couldn’t remove the notifications off. I **ahem** down my phone and they disappeared. Thank you so much!!

This did not solve the problem for me. I removed the verses and reinstalled it. The notifications are still in my watch.

Removing and reinstalling it from the app won't do it. You have to reboot the watch itself. Or are you saying that you rebooted the watch (stop it from the watch, then restart) and it didn't remove the notifications?

I did not reboot anything, I was just looking to see if anyone else was having this problem with the app. I’m not having any issues with the watch.

Ah, uncleared notifications on the app is a different issue. This is (from what I see) to do with the notifications on the device not able to be cleared - when rebooting the watch clears it as a workaround. There is another post somewhere about being unable to clear notifications on the app itself.
