After noticing my versa lite i’ve had for about two years had the wrong time and wouldn’t sync data properly, i tried to do a factory reset. This (i think) worked, but now I can’t sync my versa with the app at all. I can’t get past the 4-number code in the syncing process. I give in the code, it starts to sync but after a few seconds i get the alert there’s a syncing error and i can only “abort” and try again but it never works. My internet connection works fine, my phone and the app have the latest updates. I can’t use the fibit at all anymore.

If you performed a factory reset on your Versa Lite without first unpairing it from your Fitbit account and phone's Bluetooth settings, that would explain why it's no longer syncing nor keeping the correct time. With that being said, please try the steps below:
If you can't get started with your Versa Lite, usually a missing requirement is the cause. Carefully review the requirements provided in the help article Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?
