Hello there @Swingoku933, welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post, I'll be glad to help you to set up your Versa to your phone.
While reading your post I was wondering if the Versa you received from a family member is a brand new watch or it was already used by them?
If you're giving a watch, the person who gave it to you should erase their data so you can set it up from scratch. Some Fitbit devices allow you to completely erase the data stored on your device. For more information, see How do I erase my Fitbit device?
For more information about receiving a previously used device as a gift, see our blog post, Giving or Receiving a Used Fitbit Device? These Simple Steps Will Help You Both Start Fresh.
Also, I wondered if the mobile device you're syncing with is included in our list of supported devices? You can see the list at: Which phones and tablets can I use with my Fitbit watch or tracker?
Fitbit products are compatible with most devices that have the following operating systems: Apple iOS 12.2 and higher, Android OS 7.0 and higher.
Please keep in mind that when a device is not supported and does not meet the require OS we cannot guarantee its functionality with the Fitbit app. It might work at a certain time and then it can stop working out of nowhere after an update. This is because the app is not optimized to that device and any change could impact the performance.
If you haven't done so yet, I'd recommend following the troubleshooting steps provided here: Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?
Hope this helps, let me know if you need further assistance.

Hello there @Swingoku933, you're welcome.
May I know what is the version currently installed on your watch? You can find it either by going in the, tap the Today tab > your profile picture > your device image (the firmware version number appears under your device's name) or on your Versa, in the Settings app > About or Device Info.
That said, leave on all-day sync and let the Fitbit app run in the background on your phone, which allows a small portion of the firmware update to download to your Fitbit device each time you sync. To check that all-day sync is turned on: In the Fitbit app, tap the Today tab > your profile picture > your device image > confirm All-Day Sync is on.
Since you performed a factory reset on the Versa in order to se it up on your account, it may be in the version it had when it was originally purchased, but you'll definitely get the most recent one by trying the steps I suggested above.
I'll be around if you need further help.

Hi there @Swingoku933. The latest version for Fitbit Versa is Fitbit OS 4.1.3 (32.70.8.0) and the Fitbit app on your phone to 3.24. Please keep in mind the suggestion I provided above so you can get the most recent version sooner.
I'll be around if there's any other questions present.

Hi @Swingoku933, it will come to you eventually. Just have in mind my recommendation above about leaving on all-day sync and let the Fitbit app run in the background on your phone, which allows a small portion of the firmware update to download to your Fitbit device each time you sync. To check that all-day sync is turned on: In the Fitbit app, tap the Today tab > your profile picture > your device image > confirm All-Day Sync is on.
In regards to the version of the Fitbit app, thanks for highlighting my mistake, version is 3.24.
