Can't control Spotify music through my Versa 3 while exercising

I used to have a Fitbit iconic and could change Spotify songs while exercising by swiping down selecting music. It stopped working and Fitbit swapped it for a Fitbit Versa 3. I can listen to Spotify songs while exercising but I can’t work out how to change songs without ending the exercise. The music does not appear when you swipe down.

Hi there, @Steveflem. Welcome to the Community Forums.  

Note with Versa 3 you can only start a playlist before doing an activity but while doing an activity, you cannot skip, pause or even change the volume of songs until you end the exercise.

So how is the versa three supposed to be better than the versa two when it can’t even do the same things the versa two can do?

I’m also finding that the battery life on my versa three is not as good as my versa2 even though that was the whole reason why I got it
