Can't control music from phone

I have yet to be able to control music on my phone from my watch. I have tried all troubleshotong options, paired to Fitbit classic, forgotten and repaired 1001 times, etc. I am getting pretty fedup with i, if I'm being completely honest. I just switched over from the Pebble 2, which operated seamlessly. It's no wonder Fitbit bought them out, although they could definitely learn a thing or two. I have a Pixel XL and am running the latest Android OS.  If I can't resolve this issue in the next few days, I'm returning the watch and never purchasing another Fitbit product. Does anyone have any suggestions? I've just about had it.

@Anonymous93725 A warm welcome to our Community! Sorry to hear that you can't control your phone's music from your Versa. Try going to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there. Restart your phone and restart your device. After this try syncing them. Also, since you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
