I am trying to upload a clock face to my new Versa. I keep getting messages that say "this clock cannot be loaded" and "Versa not connected".

I am sorry to hear that you are having issues downloading your clock face to your Versa. Can you please tell me if it is a Fitbit clock face of is it from a third party? Could you provide me with some screenshots of the errors you are receiving?
