Can't download music to Versa 2

I'm trying to download playlists from my iMac onto a new Versa 2.  I just keep getting a spinning wheel and no connection--except for about 2 seconds--when it started downloading, then quit again.  All Bluetooth is off, on same wi-fi. Tried rebooting watch and computer.  updated all apps.  Spent 2 1/2 hours on this and still nothing.

Come on, Fitbit.  This is basic functionality. The main reason I bought this instead of a less expensive model was for the ability to download playlists.
