Can’t get my Fitbit versa to log sleep. Very disappointing after upgrading from the Fitbit Alta

Has anyone found a way of getting consistent sleep readings on the Versa. Never had this problem with the Alta and feel conned in getting the upgraded Versa that seems to have basic problems

The only way I've found to reliably get the Versa to show you sleep stages in the morning is to use a wristband over the Versa and surrounding wrist areas at night.  If you've worn the Versa all day, take it off and wash and  towel dry your wrist vigorously before putting the Versa back on.  Also rinse off the Versa, especially the back side with the sensors.  You can thank @hoofbeats95 for the idea.  It works, in contrast to most of the other suggestions posted so far.

Thank you. Will def give this a go but seems to me like the Versa isn’t actually fit for purpose if we have to find additional ways to make it work.
