Hi there @Timbo1969, welcome to the Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear that your text messages are not coming through your Versa 2, I understand where your concern is coming from. Thanks for the details provided in your post and for already trying to solve this issue prior to posting here. I'll be glad to continue to help you.

I was wondering the same than @SunsetRunner about knowing what mobile device you're syncing with. As she mentioned, when a device is not supported and does not meet the require OS we cannot guarantee its functionality with the Fitbit app. It might work at a certain time and then it can stop working out of nowhere after an update. This is because the app is not optimized to that device and any change could impact the performance. Make sure to also check the troubleshooting steps she has shared with you.

If the steps from the help article don't work, please:

  • Uninstall then reinstall the Fitbit app.

  • Settings > Apps > Fitbit > Clear data.

  • Perform a soft reset of your phone.

New Androids automatically stops the Apps that are running in the background to reduce the battery consumption. That being said, if you want your Fitbit notification to be live and working properly, you need to ensure that Fitbit App is running in the background. For more information about this option on Android phones, see What should I know about using the Fitbit app on my Android phone?

Please note at least you need to open the Fitbit app once after turning on your device to make sure the app is running.

Hi @Timbo1969 and welcome to the forum!  Which phone do you have? Is it on the list of Supported devices?  If not, that may be part of the problem. You may also want to check out this Help page. At the very top, it offers specific trouble shooting tips.
