Can't install Spotify on Versa Lite

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could help me. I have a Versa Lite and I can't download Spotify. When I go to download the app it says that my software needs to be at the latest version to download the app. However, I have received no notification to update my watch. I have tried to troubleshoot the watch, reset it and look for an update on my PC but nothing is working, the App is also up to date on both my phone and PC. This is also starting to cause other difficulties with my watch such as not counting steps. Does anyone have any advice?

Thanks in advance,

Sarah.

Hi there @SunsetRunner, welcome to the Community Forums. Thank you for the details provided in your post and for taking the time to verify that you have no pending updates to install. I'll be glad to help you to download Spotify on your Versa Lite.

Note that in order to install Spotify app, your watch must be updated to the latest Fitbit OS 4.1.3 (32.70.8.0) and the Fitbit app on your phone to 3.24. If your Versa is a brand new maybe it still has an old version, this is the reason why you cannot download Spotify yet. May I know what is the version currently installed on your watch? You can find it either by going in the , tap the Today tab > your profile picture > your device image (the firmware version number appears under your device's name) or on your Versa Lite, in the Settings app About or Device Info.

That said, leave on all-day sync and let the Fitbit app run in the background on your phone, which allows a small portion of the firmware update to download to your Fitbit device each time you sync. To check that all-day sync is turned on: In the Fitbit app, tap the Today tab > your profile picture > your device image > confirm All-Day Sync is on. Once you have updated your Versa you will be able to download the Spotify app, check this article to know how it works.

Also, I wondered if the mobile device you're syncing with is included in our list of supported devices? You can see the list at: Which phones and tablets can I use with my Fitbit watch or tracker?

Fitbit products are compatible with most devices that have the following operating systems: Apple iOS 12.2 and higher, Android OS 7.0 and higher.

Please keep in mind that when a device is not supported and does not meet the require OS we cannot guarantee its functionality with the Fitbit app. It might work at a certain time and then it can stop working out of nowhere after an update. This is because the app is not optimized to that device and any change could impact the performance.
